DESCRIPTION
This artwork was created during the artist's travels through the Umnugobi province, a semi-desert region known as the Gobi. Inspired by the breathtaking mountains and captivating glimpses into Gobi life, the artist challenges traditional landscape painting, which often prioritizes picture-perfect accuracy. Yolyn Am, a.k.a. Vulture Valley, is a remarkable natural phenomenon situated within the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains of the Gobi Desert. This significant ice field boasts a unique microclimate that allows thick layers of ice to endure even during the warmer months. The juxtaposition of ice within the arid Gobi Desert creates a visually striking landscape, offering breathtaking views, particularly during the dramatic interplay of light and shadow at sunset and sunrise, which painted with bold color combination and brush work.
