DESCRIPTION
This artwork highlights a serious issue in Mongolia: even though the country has vast of livestock, people in cities struggle to afford meat. This is because middlemen buy meat cheaply from herders and then sell it at much higher prices. Many herders are leaving the countryside to find better opportunities in the city, which is changing traditional ways of life. The name of the artwork "wolf" used to mean only the animal that threatened livestock. Now, people, including thieves, are taking animals from herders, and even wolves are being hunted, showing an imbalance in the ecosystem. This artwork likely uses symbolism to convey these complex issues, perhaps depicting a wolf, a herder, and a city dweller to represent the different aspects of this problem.
